Werid Sig Crash When Spell Checking
I just tried this and it didn't crash. Could one of the MVPs try it out just to be certain this doesn't exist?

Not an MVP, but I have confirmed your testing Judd, no crashing. Will, which platform are you using Vista x86 or x64? If its x64 you will likely encounter this because there is no spell checker support, since it depends on Office spell checker, which needs to be 64-bit, 64-bit .dll can't call a 32-bit .dll. You would need to have a 64-bit version of Office installed which currently does not exist.
If its x86, is Office installed or not? If it is, try installing the latest Service Pack for which ever version you are running. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

I believe I've heard of this or something similar...
Change your keyboard layout, and language or any sort of local settings to GMT or GMT -8 (Redmond time), save them, then restart. Load back up again, change the settings back, and hopefully this should have cured this. If not, file it as a bug.

Yes, can confirm this.
I just cant figure out what is crashing it. Tried one line at a time and then no crash. So something is up.
Apparently so, indeed. Though, try as I would, I was not able to get a clear repro. Different lines, different words, nothing crashes but the text above. One easy repro is just replying to the original message in this thread and having quoted text spell-checked, too. Whether I change or ignore errors, the crash happens after the "E" is checked.

I changed everything back to English (US) that I could think of, it still crashes. Actually, I have just found another repro! ;-)
When I reply to Zack's message and have quoted text spell-checked, it suggests "accent" for "zacknet" and "up" for "uk" and then it crashes, ignoring or accepting the changes makes no difference.
Saludos Roland
Well, I've tried this a couple times now, and turned on all the bells and whistles for spell checking, and so far nothing. To be on the safe side, file an issue and try to add in as much info about keyboard layout, posting settings, language of build, machine type, and what may or may not be in your sig that could be causing this. Thanks!

I am truly sorry, Judd, but I just won't have time to do this at the moment. Had a harddrive failure some days ago and am still at recovering as much as possible of my lost data.

Maybe you should bug this - it could be a language/keyboard error within the software.
